Objective : Student will form the letters of her name out of clay, and make her name, with all the letters in the correct order, given instructions on how to make the letters. Student will follow directions, by first listening to directions, when given orally, and then following the steps shown to make clay letters, for each letter modeled. when asked to do so.

Evaluation/ Assessment of Student Learning:Student will follow directions for using the clay, by listening and waiting her turn, then producing identifiable letters with the clay.
Pre-Lesson Assessment Information:Student needs to remember the letters she has learned and practice self control.

Resources/Sources: Play dough

Background Information: One of the main goals of student's IEP is to write her name and learn the letters and number symbols. She has trouble focusing on the task at hand and following directions. Teacher must reinforce on task behavior in order to improve attention to lesson.

ACADEMIC LANGUAGE LEARNING OBJECTIVES (TPE 1, 7): A focus of student's intervention is to develop listening and speaking skills, and develop Standard English speaking patterns. Standard English is modeled.

-Review/Intro: Starfall letter activites. Write Name, Review
letters.
-State Objective: Letter and number recognition/ practice making letters using clay
-New material: Model how to make clay letters
-Guided practice: Show steps to making letters
-Independent practice: Make letters of your name

CA.ELA.K.R.1.6...Recognize and name all uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet.
CA.ELA.K.W.1.3...Write by moving from left to right and from top to bottom.
CA.ELA.K.W.1.4...Write uppercase and lowercase letters of the alphabet independently, attending to the form and proper spacing of the letters.
CA.ELA.K.WO.1Written and Oral English Language Conventions Students write and speak with a command of standard English conventions.
